As a landscape designer, we design a lot of landscapes over the colder, winter months. A lot of our clients, or at least the prepared ones, come to us in the fall or winter for their future landscape. This gives us an opportunity to create a design through the slower winter months and have the landscape plan ready for a spring/summer installation. This is a landscape design we just finished in Litchfield County. It was a two part design. Phase one was a plan to be presented to the wetlands commission for approval to replace and expand an existing wall within a wetland regulated area. After we received approval for that part of the design, phase two we created a landscape design that will use a majority of native plants to stabilize and beautify the surrounding landscape.
