With all the rain this growing season, it has been hard to get any landscape projects completed this year. In May, we started a couple of projects that just seemed to drag on for way too long. One project in Ridgefield, it took close to three weeks just to get a fence and arbor painted on one of our landscape projects. In this Middlebury landscape, we were being held up by a painter trying to finish a custom garden shed. It is almost complete thank goodness. This multi phase landscape involved improving their current landscape and adding more gardens to the front of the house last year. This phase included adding a garden shed, a formal vegetable garden, repairing the small courtyard wall, a new perennial border with hydrangeas behind and a redwood fence. Future plans will include a mixed shrub/screening border around the perimeter of the backyard, a pool and surrounding landscape. Here are the photos. Excuse the blurry areas, it’s rain drops on the camera lens.
Did you notice the little fence surrounding the patio? It’s to keep the owner’s dogs on the patio and matches the gates that surround the courtyard.
I’m starting to like the look and feel of this new landscape, how about you? Let me hear your thoughts.
