Here are some before and after photos from a landscape project we did in Roxbury last year.
Landscape design and construction is a process. You listen to the client, come up with a concept through the design process and present a price. Not all the time does the concept match the client budget. That’s why landscape designers often ask for a budget before putting pen to paper. In the above project, concepts were presented but a budget wasn’t discussed at first. Below is our first design concept. An oversized stoop with a seating wall was designed directly off the living room as an outdoor living room before entering onto the pool patio.
Below is the new landscape plan that was eventually built. The major change between the two landscape designs is the area directly off the living room. Although the clients loved concept 1, the budget dictated the installation of concept 2.
The new landscape removed the wooden deck and replaced it with an oversized fieldstone/bluestone stoop and created a brand new bluestone patio that has plenty of space for multiple uses including dining, relaxing by the pool or even a portable fire pit.
