The fact is, I’ve never wanted to be the largest company. It’s just not my thing. I do try to give our clients the best landscape possible every day. That’s something I’ve strived for, for decades. Every time I have hired a large company to perform a service at my house, I’ve been disappointed. I prefer to work with smaller, owner, operated service providers. In my mind, that’s where the best service occurs. Yes, you might have to wait longer and the project might take longer but I’m okay with that. As long as I get a great product. I like to hire companies where the owner is involved through the entire process. I want to deal with the owner and talk to the owner directly. I don’t want to talk to a technician or an apprentice, who calls the manager who asks the owner how to handle the situation. Worse, I don’t want to call, only to get a gatekeeper.
I guess there are a lot of past and present clients that feel the same way or just a lot of people who have seen our work and are drawn to it enough to give us a vote of confidence. All I know is I am honored.
